POEM BY Chuck Abar:
On a dark and snowy evening, I skied and thought of times we had.
So soft the snow fell on that evening, reminded me and kept on dreaming.
I thought about that crescent beach with sounds of silence within my reach.
That golden sand will be with me, as long as I can believe.
I'll be back, my dear friends too. It's plain to see the Ditch is true.
It's near, it's far, I just don't care, my friends and I will soon be there.
East Deck's our place, thanks to Mike we know. He's with us every time we go.
Ricky too spent many a day. When I get back I'm sure I'll pray.
For now I'm off to a snow white dream of frozen nights and sun filled beams.
Whether it's winter, spring, fall, or summer, my sights are set on a star filled slumber.
I'll see you there I hope it's true, if not my wish will be to you,
think about the East Deck now and then the spot is what I call Zen............
